Dip Ingredients

Tortilla Chips

Method

Prepare the Spinach Dip

  1. 1

    Sauté Spinach

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the fresh spinach. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the spinach is wilted. Remove from heat and let it cool. Once cooled, chop the spinach finely.

  2. 2

    Mix the Dip Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and Parmesan cheese. Use a hand mixer or spatula to blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. 3

    Add Seasoning

Add the wilted and chopped spinach to the creamy mixture. Then, sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir gently until all ingredients are well combined.

  4. 4

    Chill the Dip

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the spinach dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Prepare the Tortilla Chips

  1. 5

    Cut Tortillas

While the dip is chilling, cut the flour tortillas into triangles or strips, depending on your preference.

  2. 6

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Chips

Carefully add the tortilla triangles to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the chips and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  4. 8

    Season the Chips

While the chips are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
