Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and ensure the grouper fillet is thawed if previously frozen. Pat the fillet dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.

  3. 3

    Chop the Parsley

Wash and chop the fresh parsley leaves finely.

  4. 4

    Zest and Juice the Lemon

Zest the lemon and then cut it in half to juice it. Set the zest and juice aside.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Heat the Pan

In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  2. 6

    Cook the Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 7

    Season the Grouper

While the garlic is cooking, season the grouper fillet with salt, black pepper, and optional paprika and red pepper flakes if desired.

  4. 8

    Cook the Grouper

Carefully place the seasoned grouper fillet in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  5. 9

    Add Lemon Flavor

During the last minute of cooking, squeeze the lemon juice over the fillet and sprinkle the lemon zest and chopped parsley on top.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plate the Dish

Once cooked, transfer the grouper fillet to a serving plate and drizzle any remaining pan juices over the top.

  2. 11

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with additional parsley if desired and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
