Method
Preparation

- 2
Cut Potatoes into Fries
Cut each potato into thin strips, approximately 1/4 inch thick. Aim for uniformity to ensure even cooking.
Cooking
- 3
Heat Oil
In a large, deep pan or fryer, pour in the vegetable oil and heat it to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to ensure the oil reaches the correct temperature.
- 4
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add a handful of the cut potatoes to the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 5
Drain Excess Oil
Once the fries are cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil. Place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- 6
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with salt, black pepper, and paprika to taste. Toss gently to ensure even coating.
