1. Prepare Tamarind
Peel the tamarind pods to remove the outer shell and fibers. Place the tamarind pulp in a bowl.
2. Soak Tamarind
Add 2 cups of warm water to the tamarind pulp and let it soak for about 20 minutes to soften.
3. Extract Juice
Using your hands, mash the tamarind pulp in the water to extract the juice. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher, discarding the solids.
