Seafood Rice and Toppings
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Seafood Rice
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, garlic, and red bell pepper. Sauté until softened.
- 2
Add the rice and stir for 1-2 minutes until slightly toasted. Pour in water and season with salt and black pepper.
- 3
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
- 4
Add Seafood
Once the rice is cooked, gently stir in shrimp, calamari, lobster, mussels, and clams. Cover and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until seafood is heated through.
- 5
Fry the Fish
While the seafood rice is cooking, prepare the fish. Dredge the fish fillet in all-purpose flour, seasoned with salt and pepper.
- 6
In a separate pan, heat oil over medium-high. Fry the fish fillet until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 7
Serve
Spoon the seafood rice onto plates, top with the fried fish fillet, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
