Dumpling Filling
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 2
Fill the Dumplings
Take one dumpling wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pinch to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- 3
Pan-fry the Dumplings
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Once hot, add the dumplings in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
- 4
Steam the Dumplings
Once the dumplings are browned, add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Reduce heat to medium and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the water has evaporated and the dumplings are cooked through.
- 5
Serve
Remove the lid and let the dumplings cook for an additional minute to crisp up the bottoms. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
