Ingredients for Spicy Tuna Roll

Method

Instructions for Spicy Tuna Roll

  1. 1

    Prepare Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, let it cool slightly and season with a mixture of rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.

  2. 2

    Make Spicy Tuna Filling

In a bowl, combine diced tuna, mayonnaise, and sriracha sauce. Mix well and set aside.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Roll

Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down. Wet your hands and spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving about 1 inch at the top. Lay a line of spicy tuna filling, avocado slices, and cucumber strips along the bottom edge of the rice.

  4. 4

    Roll the Sushi

Using the bamboo mat, gently roll the sushi away from you, pressing firmly but not too hard to keep the roll tight. Seal the edge of the nori with a little water. Let it rest seam side down.

  5. 5

    Slice and Serve

Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into 6-8 pieces. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi on the side.
