Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Make the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Mix until well combined and smooth.
- 2
Prepare the Wontons
Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the crab mixture in the center of the wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper over to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- 3
Fry the Crab Rangoon
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the filled wontons in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 4
Serve
Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce for dipping.
