Pulled Short Ribs Adobo

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, bay leaves, brown sugar, and krill paste to create the marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Ribs

Add the beef short ribs to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  3. 3

    Cook the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Place the marinated short ribs in a roasting pan and add water. Cover the pan with foil and cook for about 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Slaw

While the ribs are cooking, mix the shredded cabbage with a pinch of salt and set aside to soften.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Bao Buns

Once the ribs are cooked, shred the meat and discard the bones. Steam the bao buns until warm. Fill each bun with pulled short ribs, topped with cabbage slaw and pickled yellow radish.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the bao buns and serve with your choice of two sides.
