Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare Phyllo Dough
Thaw the phyllo dough according to package instructions. Once thawed, keep it covered with a damp cloth to prevent drying out.

Melt Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, set aside to cool slightly.

Mix Nut Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped walnuts, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix well until evenly combined.
Assemble Baklava

Cut Baklava
Using a sharp knife, cut the baklava into diamond or square shapes before baking.

Bake Baklava
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Make Honey Syrup

Pour Syrup
Once the baklava is done baking, remove it from the oven and immediately pour the hot honey syrup evenly over the baklava. Let it soak for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
