Hibachi Steak & Shrimp Ingredients
Method
Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and black pepper. Reserve half for basting.
- 2
Marinate the Steak and Shrimp
Place the strip sirloin and shrimp in a large bowl or resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the steak and shrimp, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 3
Cook the Steak
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or grill pan over high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the pan and let rest.
- 4
Cook the Shrimp
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- 5
Serve
Slice the steak against the grain. Arrange the steak and shrimp on a platter, drizzle with reserved marinade, and garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve warm.
