Hibachi Filet Mignon Ingredients
Method
Cooking Instructions for Hibachi Filet Mignon
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and salt. This will be your marinade.
- 2
Marinate the Steaks
Place the filet mignon steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- 3
Preheat the Grill or Hibachi
Preheat your grill or hibachi to high heat. If using a hibachi, ensure that the coals are glowing red.
- 4
Cook the Steaks
Remove the steaks from the marinade and discard the marinade. Season the steaks with additional salt if desired. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust time to your preferred doneness.
- 5
Add Butter and Green Onions
In the last minute of cooking, add butter on top of each steak and sprinkle with sliced green onions. Close the lid of the grill to allow the butter to melt.
- 6
Rest and Serve
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
