Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and prepare them for cooking.

  2. 2

    Clean the Pork Bones

Rinse the pork bones under cold water to remove any impurities. This will help achieve a clearer broth.

  3. 3

    Boil the Bones

In a large pot, add the cleaned pork bones and cover them with 4 liters of water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Skim the Impurities

After boiling, skim off any foam and impurities that rise to the surface. This will help keep the soup clear and flavorful.

  5. 5

    Add Aromatics

Add the whole onion, smashed garlic cloves, and sliced ginger to the pot. Continue to simmer for 2 hours.

  6. 6

    Add Vegetables

After 2 hours, add chopped carrots, sliced daikon radish, and salt to the pot. Let it simmer for an additional 30 minutes.

  7. 7

    Season the Soup

Once the vegetables are tender, stir in black pepper, sesame oil, soy sauce, and miso paste. Mix well until the miso is fully dissolved.

  8. 8

    Finish and Serve

Taste the soup and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
