Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Remove the turkey giblets and pat the turkey dry. Rub the butter all over the turkey and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and sage.

  2. 2

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey breast side up on a roasting rack in a roasting pan. Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan. Cover the turkey loosely with foil and roast for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove the foil in the last hour of cooking for a golden brown skin.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Stuffing

In a large bowl, combine the stuffing mix with the remaining chicken broth as per the package instructions. Mix well and let it sit for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Cook the Green Beans

Trim the green beans and steam or boil them until tender but still crisp, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Serve the Meal

Once the turkey is done, let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving. Serve the turkey with stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie for dessert.
