Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the ingredients

Gather all the ingredients: tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, O.P. capicola, pickled jalapeno, and Mike's Hot Honey.

  2. 2

    Slice the mozzarella

Cut the fresh mozzarella into thick slices, about 1/2 inch.

  3. 3

    Slice the capicola

If the O.P. capicola is not pre-sliced, cut it into thin strips.

  4. 4

    Prepare jalapenos

Measure out 2 tablespoons of pickled jalapenos and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Spread the sauce

In a baking dish or on a pizza stone, spread the tomato sauce evenly across the base.

  2. 6

    Add mozzarella

Place the sliced fresh mozzarella evenly over the tomato sauce.

  3. 7

    Layer the capicola

Distribute the sliced O.P. capicola over the mozzarella.

  4. 8

    Add jalapenos

Sprinkle the pickled jalapenos on top of the dish.

  5. 9

    Drizzle with honey

Finally, drizzle Mike's Hot Honey over the entire dish for a touch of sweetness.

Cooking

  1. 10

    Bake the dish

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake the assembled dish for about 15-20 minutes or until the mozzarella is melted and bubbly.

  2. 11

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, slice, and serve your Brooklyn dish warm.
