Method
Prepare the Salad
- 1
Soak the Seaweed
In a large bowl, soak the dried wakame seaweed in water for about 10-15 minutes or until it expands and becomes tender. Drain and gently squeeze out excess water.
- 2
Prepare the Vegetables
While the seaweed is soaking, thinly slice the cucumber and carrot. For the cucumber, cut it into half-moons, and for the carrot, you can julienne or grate it for finer pieces. Thinly slice the radishes and chop the green onions.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the rehydrated seaweed, sliced cucumber, carrot, radishes, and green onions. Toss gently to mix.
Prepare the Dressing
- 4
Mix the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 5
Add Dressing to Salad
Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to ensure all ingredients are coated evenly. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Serve
- 6
Chill and Serve
Let the salad sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving. You can serve it chilled or at room temperature.
