Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the edamame pods and cook for about 5 minutes until tender but still firm. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

While the edamame is cooking, peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 2-3 minutes, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

  2. 4

    Combine Edamame and Seasoning

Add the cooked edamame to the skillet with the sautéed garlic. Sprinkle with sea salt and toss gently to combine well.

Serving

  1. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Transfer the edamame to a large serving bowl. If desired, sprinkle with red pepper flakes for added heat. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the edamame.
