Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

Rinse the edamame pods under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris.

  2. 2

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  3. 3

    Steam the Edamame

Once the water is boiling, carefully add the rinsed edamame pods to the pot. Cover the pot with a lid and steam the edamame for 5-6 minutes or until they are bright green and tender.

  4. 4

    Drain the Edamame

After steaming, carefully drain the edamame pods in a colander and let them cool for a minute.

  5. 5

    Season and Serve

Sprinkle 1 tsp of salt over the edamame pods while they are still warm. Serve immediately, allowing guests to pop the beans from the pods into their mouths.
