Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix dry ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Cream butter and sugars

In a separate bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Add eggs and vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine wet and dry ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

  6. 6

    Fold in add-ins

Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.

Baking

  1. 7

    Scoop the dough

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.

  2. 8

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

  3. 9

    Cool

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
