Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Once cooked, remove and let drain on paper towels.

Form the Patties
In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two equal-sized patties.

Cook the Patties
In the skillet, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness is reached. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns lightly. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun, place the lettuce, followed by the cheesy patty, bacon, sautéed onions, and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve
Serve the bacon cheeseburger with a side of curly fries or a tossed salad.
