Brewing the Tea

Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 2 tablespoons of black tea leaves. Cover the saucepan and let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.

After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer or tea strainer to remove the tea leaves from the liquid. Pour the brewed tea into a pitcher.
