Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until the crumbs are well coated.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.

Cheesecake Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream, mixing until well combined.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Vanilla and Eggs

Mix in the vanilla extract, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. 8

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling into the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  5. 9

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  6. 10

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour. Then, remove and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Topping the Cheesecake

  1. 11

    Drizzle Caramel and Chocolate

Once the cheesecake is chilled, drizzle the caramel and chocolate sauces over the top in a decorative pattern.

  2. 12

    Add Pecans

Sprinkle the toasted and chopped pecans evenly over the top.

  3. 13

    Slice and Serve

Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan, slice the cheesecake, and serve chilled.
