Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Add Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add the fresh edamame pods to the pot.

Cook Edamame
Boil the edamame for about 5-6 minutes, or until they are tender but still slightly firm.

Drain and Season
Drain the cooked edamame in a colander and transfer them to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with salt to taste.

Serve the edamame warm as a snack or appetizer, and enjoy by popping the beans from the pods into your mouth.
