Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cubanelle Peppers

Wash the cubanelle peppers thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel. Using a sharp knife, carefully slice the peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.

  2. 2

    Grill the Peppers

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the halved cubanelle peppers on the grill, cut side down. Grill for about 5-7 minutes or until the skin is charred and blistered. Flip the peppers and grill for an additional 3-5 minutes.

Sautéing

  1. 3

    Melt the Butter

In a large skillet, melt the homemade butter over medium heat. Allow it to foam slightly but do not let it brown.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Grilled Peppers

Once the butter is melted, add the grilled cubanelle peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste. Ensure the peppers are well coated with the butter.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

Transfer the sautéed cubanelle peppers to a serving plate. Generously top each pepper half with artisanal cream cheese, allowing it to melt slightly from the heat of the peppers.

  2. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Optionally, garnish with freshly chopped herbs like parsley or chives. Serve immediately while warm.
