Directions
- 1
Prepare the Artichoke Hearts
Drain and rinse the artichoke hearts under cold water to remove any excess brine. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 2
Mix Seasoning
In a bowl, combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to create a marinade.
- 3
Marinate the Artichokes
Add the drained artichoke hearts to the marinade and gently toss to coat them evenly. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.
- 4
Prepare the Smoker
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C) using your preferred wood chips for smoking. Apple or hickory wood works well.
- 5
Smoke the Artichokes
Place the marinated artichoke hearts on the smoker rack. Smoke them for approximately 1 hour, or until they are tender and have absorbed the smoky flavor.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove the smoked artichoke hearts from the smoker and let them cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy as a unique appetizer!
