Rib Combo Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Start by preheating your smoker to 225°F (107°C).

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this seasoning mix all over the pork ribs, ensuring an even coat.

  3. 3

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs in the smoker and add wood chips for smoke flavor. Smoke the ribs for about 4-5 hours, or until they are tender and the meat pulls away from the bone easily.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Meat of Choice

While the ribs are smoking, prepare your second meat choice (e.g., brisket, chicken, sausage) by rubbing it with olive oil and seasoning it with your choice of spices.

  5. 5

    Cook the Second Meat

Cook the second meat choice on the grill or smoker at the same time as the ribs, adjusting the cooking time based on the type of meat you are using. Cook until the meat reaches the desired internal temperature.

  6. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

In the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce to create a glaze. Repeat this every 10 minutes for a sticky finish.

  7. 7

    Rest and Serve

Once the ribs and second meat are done cooking, remove them from the heat and let them rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
