Method
Preparation

- 2
Combine
In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz blanco tequila, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz fresh orange juice, 0.5 oz Cointreau, 0.5 tablespoon unsweetened pumpkin puree, 0.25 oz simple syrup, 0.25 oz ginger liqueur (or ginger syrup), and 2 dashes orange bitters.
- 3
Dry shake
Seal the shaker and dry-shake (no ice) vigorously for 10–15 seconds to fully emulsify and integrate the pumpkin puree with the citrus and spirits. This step helps achieve a bright, integrated texture.
- 4
Shake with ice
Add 1 cup of ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until well chilled and slightly dilutive.
- 5
Double strain and serve
Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared chilled coupe or rocks glass (over fresh ice if preferred) using a fine mesh strainer to remove any pumpkin solids for a smooth, brilliant finish.
- 6
Finish
Garnish with a lime wheel or an orange twist. If desired, finish with a very light pinch of ground cinnamon over the top (hold the pinch high and tap lightly for an even, subtle dusting).
- 7
Serve
Present immediately. The drink is balanced between bright citrus, clean tequila, warm pumpkin notes, and a subtle ginger lift—fresh and brilliant.
