Preparation

Wine

1. Chill the bottle

If the bottle is not already chilled, place the White Ercole Blanco in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours to reach a serving temperature of about 8–10°C (46–50°F). If you need to chill quickly, submerge the bottle in an ice bucket filled with ice and water for 20–30 minutes.

2. Prepare glassware

Select clean white wine glasses (tulip-shaped or narrow bowl). Ensure glasses are free of residue or detergent smell. If using a chilled bottle, you can briefly chill the glasses in the refrigerator (10–15 minutes) or by keeping them in a rinsed, slightly damp towel in the freezer for no more than 5 minutes.

3. Open the bottle

Remove the foil capsule and wipe the top of the bottle with a clean cloth. Use a waiter’s corkscrew or appropriate wine opener to remove the cork carefully. Inspect the cork for any signs of deterioration or off-odors.

4. Pour and serve

Pour about 120–150 ml (4–5 oz) of White Ercole Blanco into each glass, filling approximately one-third of the glass to allow the aromas to concentrate. Hold the glass by the stem to avoid warming the wine. Offer the bottle to guests so they can taste before further pouring.

5. Storage after opening

If there is remaining wine, reseal the bottle with a wine stopper or the original cork. Store upright in the refrigerator. Use within 3–5 days for best quality; flavors will start to degrade after that.

6. Serving suggestions

Serve the White Ercole Blanco with light seafood dishes, fresh cheeses, salads, or antipasti. Avoid very hot or heavy foods that can overwhelm the wine’s delicate flavors.
