Method
Chicken Tenders Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a mixing bowl, add the buttermilk and sliced chicken breasts. Ensure all chicken pieces are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well until evenly combined.
- 3
Coat the Chicken
Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the coated chicken tenders to the hot oil in batches. Fry for 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Remove and drain on paper towels.
Fries Preparation
- 6
Cook the French Fries
While the chicken is frying, prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions, typically baking or frying until golden and crispy.
- 7
Season the Fries
Once cooked, remove fries from the oven or fryer and sprinkle with salt while hot.
Dipping Sauces Preparation
- 8
Mix the Sauces
In small bowls, combine honey, mustard, hot sauce, and ketchup. Stir each sauce well and serve for dipping.
