Clean the Oysters
Rinse the fresh oysters under cold running water to remove any dirt or sand. Use a scrub brush if necessary to clean the shells thoroughly.

Prepare the Steaming Liquid
In a large pot, combine 2 cups of water, 1 cup of white wine, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 2 crushed garlic cloves. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well to mix the ingredients.

Setup for Steaming
Place a steamer basket or a heatproof plate on top of the steaming liquid in the pot. Ensure the water does not touch the oysters directly.

Steam the Oysters
Arrange the cleaned oysters in a single layer in the steamer basket or on the heatproof plate. Cover the pot with a lid, and bring the liquid to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and steam the oysters for 5-7 minutes, or until the shells open.

Serve the Oysters
Remove the oysters from the pot using tongs. Serve immediately with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for garnish and additional lemon juice if desired.
