Method
Crab Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crab Legs
Fill a large pot with 4 cups of water and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add the snow crab legs to the pot. Make sure the crab legs are submerged in the water.
- 2
Season the Water
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning into the boiling water. This will infuse the crab legs with flavor as they cook.
- 3
Cook the Crab
Cover the pot and let the crab legs cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until heated through. Crab legs are typically pre-cooked, so we are reheating them.
- 4
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, carefully remove the crab legs from the pot using tongs and place them on a serving platter. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Butter Sauce
- 5
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Make sure not to let it brown.
- 6
Add Garlic and Seasonings
Once the butter is melted, add 2 tablespoons of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- 7
Finish with Parsley
Remove the sauce from heat and stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley. This will add freshness to the sauce.
- 8
Serve with Crab
Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the cooked snow crab legs or serve it in a small bowl for dipping.
