Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Combine Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well combined.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat Cream Cheese

In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar

Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until fully incorporated.

  3. 7

Mix in Sour Cream and Vanilla

Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.

  4. 8

    Incorporate Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined.

  5. 9

    Add Flour

Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.

  6. 10

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan.

Baking and Cooling

  1. 11

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and only slightly jiggly.

  2. 12

    Cool the Cheesecake

Turn off the oven and crack the oven door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for 1 hour.

  3. 13

    Chill the Cheesecake

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Serving Suggestions

  1. 14

Before serving, top with fresh strawberries and drizzle with strawberry sauce if desired.

  2. 15
