Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Jowl

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the pork jowl and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside, leaving the fat in the pan.

  2. 2

    Sauté Vegetables

In the same pan, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Green Beans

Add the fresh green beans to the pan and stir to combine with the onions and garlic.

  4. 4

    Add Broth and Seasonings

Pour in the chicken broth and add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well.

  5. 5

    Slow Cook

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pan and let it cook slowly for about 30-35 minutes, or until the green beans are tender.

  6. 6

    Finish with Pork Jowl

After cooking, stir in the crispy pork jowl and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve warm.
