Preparation of Meat

Cooking Ground Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

Preparing Shredded Chicken
If using shredded chicken, cook it in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, about 5-10 minutes. Optionally, add a bit of taco seasoning for flavor.

Cooking Chorizo
If using chorizo, heat in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Seasoning the Meat
Add taco seasoning to the meat of your choice and stir to combine. Add a splash of water if needed. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the seasoning is well distributed.

Crispy Taco Shells
For crispy shells, bake pre-made taco shells according to package instructions, usually at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes.

Adding Meat
Place a generous amount of your cooked meat in the center of each taco shell.

Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and salsa. Add sliced jalapeños to taste.
