Method

Prepare the Guacamole

  1. 1

    Mash the Avocados

Cut the ripe avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Use a fork to mash the avocados until smooth or leave some chunks for texture.

  2. 2

    Add Lime Juice

Pour in the lime juice to prevent the avocados from browning and to add flavor.

  3. 3

    Mix in Onion and Cilantro

Add the chopped onion and chopped cilantro to the avocado mixture. Stir well to combine.

  4. 4

    Season with Salt

Sprinkle in the salt and mix to taste. Adjust seasoning as necessary.

Assemble the Nachos

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. 6

    Layer the Tortilla Chips

Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a baking sheet or oven-safe dish.

  3. 7

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese generously over the tortilla chips.

  4. 8

    Add Jalapeños

Distribute the pickled jalapeños evenly over the cheese-covered chips.

  5. 9

    Bake the Nachos

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve

  1. 10

    Plate the Nachos

Once baked, remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool for a minute.

  2. 11

    Serve with Guacamole

Serve the nachos hot with a side of the prepared guacamole for dipping.
