Method

Waffle Batter Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; be careful not to overmix, as this can make the waffles tough.

Cooking Waffles

  1. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  2. 5

    Cook Waffles

Lightly grease the preheated waffle iron with cooking spray or butter. Pour the appropriate amount of batter into the waffle iron (about 1/2 to 3/4 cup, depending on the size of your waffle iron). Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, usually about 5 minutes.

  3. 6

    Repeat

Remove the waffles from the iron and repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the iron as needed.

Serving

  1. 7

    Add Toppings

Once all waffles are cooked, stack them on a plate. Top with sliced fresh strawberries, blueberries, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.

  2. 8

    Serve Immediately

Serve the waffles warm and enjoy!
