Batter Ingredients

Method

Preparation of Batter

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and set aside.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking continuously until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Let the batter rest for at least 15 minutes.

Cooking the Pancakes

  1. 4

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter to coat the surface.

  2. 5

    Pour the Batter

Once the pan is hot, pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the center of the pan, tilting the pan to spread the batter into a thin layer.

  3. 6

    Cook the Pancake

Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges are set and the bottom is lightly golden. Carefully flip the pancake using a spatula and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

  4. 7

    Repeat

Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more butter to the pan as needed, and stack the cooked pancakes on a plate.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate and Serve

Serve the pancakes warm, topped with fresh berries, a dusting of powdered sugar, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
