Method

Preparation of Dry Ingredients

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed and free of lumps.

Preparation of Wet Ingredients

  1. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 3

    Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently with a spatula or wooden spoon until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps.

Cooking Pancakes

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You may lightly grease it with a little butter or oil if desired.

  2. 5

    Cook the Pancakes

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancakes and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Hot

Serve the pancakes warm with butter and maple syrup on top. Enjoy!
