Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a medium bowl, crack the 3 large eggs. Add 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of black pepper. Whisk together until the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

    Prepare Fillings

Prepare your chosen fillings by dicing or shredding them as necessary. If you're using vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms, or onions, make sure they are diced evenly.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tbs of butter. Allow the butter to melt and coat the bottom of the skillet.

  2. 4

    Cook the Omelette

Once the butter is melted and bubbling slightly, pour the whisked eggs into the skillet. Let the eggs cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes until the edges start to set.

  3. 5

    Add Fillings

When the edges of the omelette are set but the center is still slightly runny, add your chosen fillings evenly over one half of the omelette.

  4. 6

    Fold and Finish Cooking

Using a spatula, carefully fold the other half of the omelette over the fillings. Let it cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese (if using) melts and the eggs are fully cooked.

  5. 7

    Serve

Slide the omelette onto a plate, cut in half if desired, and serve immediately. Enjoy your delicious omelette with your favorite side, such as toast or salad.
