Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three shallow dishes, place the flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs in the third.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip in the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
Cooking
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 5
Bake the Chicken
Transfer the fried chicken breasts to a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece, then sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- 6
Finish Baking
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C).
Serving

Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve hot over pasta or with a side salad.
