Yam Fries

Method

Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This will ensure that your yam fries cook evenly and become crispy.

2

Prepare the Yams

Wash the yams thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt. Peel the yams using a vegetable peeler, then cut them into thin, even fries (about 1/4 inch thick) to ensure uniform cooking.

3

Season the Fries

In a large bowl, toss the yam fries with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika until they are evenly coated.

Cooking

4

Arrange on Baking Sheet

Spread the seasoned yam fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are not overcrowded for optimal crispiness.

5

Bake the Fries

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through. They should be golden brown and crispy when done.

6

Serve

Once cooked, remove the yam fries from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious yam fries!
