Tossing Mixture
Method
Preparing the Fries
- 1
Cut the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into even-sized sticks, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
- 2
- 3
Dry the Potatoes
Drain the water and pat the potatoes dry with a clean kitchen towel to remove moisture.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the dried potato sticks to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fries and drain them on paper towels.
- 6
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with salt and toss to coat.
Tossing the Fries
- 7
Prepare the Tossing Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine truffle oil, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- 8
Toss the Fries
Add the hot fries to the bowl with the tossing mixture. Toss gently until the fries are well coated with the mixture.
