Method

Crust

  1. 1

    Prepare the crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted unsalted butter until combined.

  2. 2

    Form the crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until set. Remove from the oven and let it cool while you prepare the filling.

Filling

  1. 3

    Prepare the filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy using an electric mixer on medium speed. Gradually add the granulated sugar and mix until well combined.

  2. 4

    Add the other ingredients

Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix until the batter is smooth and creamy.

  3. 5

    Combine and bake

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and crack the door, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for about 1 hour.

  4. 6

    Chill and serve

After cooling, cover the cheesecake and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results. Before serving, run a knife around the edge of the pan and carefully remove the sides of the springform pan.
