Gather all ingredients including Pilsner Malt, Carapils Malt, Saaz Hops, Lager Yeast, and Filtered Water.

Prepare the Ingredients

In a large pot, combine 5 cups of Pilsner Malt and 1 cup of Carapils Malt with 2 liters of filtered water. Heat the mixture to 65-70°C (149-158°F) and hold it at this temperature for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Mash the Grains

After mashing, sparge the grains with additional hot water to extract the sugars. Collect the liquid, which is now called wort.

Bring the wort to a boil and add 1 tablespoon of Saaz Hops. Boil for 60 minutes, adding hops at intervals if desired for additional bitterness.

After boiling, cool the wort quickly to about 20°C (68°F) using a wort chiller or an ice bath.

Once cooled, transfer the wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel and pitch 1 tablespoon of Lager Yeast. Seal the vessel with an airlock.

Allow the beer to ferment at a temperature of around 10-12°C (50-54°F) for about 2-3 weeks. Check for fermentation completion by measuring the specific gravity.

After fermentation, condition the beer for an additional week in a cool place to enhance flavor.

Once conditioning is complete, bottle the beer using sanitized bottles. Optionally add a small amount of sugar to each bottle for carbonation.

Cap the bottles and store them in a cool, dark place for 1-2 weeks for carbonation.
