Chili Chicken Ingredients

Method

Chili Chicken Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it is hot enough for baking the chicken.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

Rinse the chicken thighs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps the seasoning stick better.

  3. 3

    Make the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and lime juice. Mix well to create a marinade.

  4. 4

    Coat the Chicken

Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and toss until they are fully coated. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor.

  5. 5

    Bake the Chicken

Place the marinated chicken thighs in a single layer on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
