Cooking the Rice

Prepare the Rice
In a medium pot, add 1 cup of white rice and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil.

Simmer
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 18 minutes until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
Preparing the Salmon

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the Salmon
Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.

Bake the Salmon
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Assembling the Bowl

Slice the Avocado
While the salmon is baking, slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Cut into slices.

Chop the Green Onions
Finely chop the green onions.

Prepare the Bowl
In a serving bowl, start with a base of white rice, add the baked salmon on top, and arrange the avocado slices, chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro around the salmon.
