Ribeye Steak

Garlic Butter

Peppercorn Sauce

Crispy Mashed Potatoes

Method

Preparing the Ribeye

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Sprinkle salt and black pepper on both sides of the ribeye steak. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to enhance the flavor.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ribeye steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Making Garlic Butter

  1. 4

    Prepare Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in chopped parsley and remove from heat.

Preparing Peppercorn Sauce

  1. 5

    Create the Sauce

In the same skillet used for the steak, add beef broth and bring to a simmer. Add heavy cream, whole black peppercorns, and Dijon mustard. Cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt to taste.

Making Crispy Mashed Potatoes

  1. 6

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to pot.

  2. 7

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter and milk to the boiled potatoes. Mash until smooth and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 8

    Crisp the Mashed Potatoes

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread mashed potatoes on a baking sheet and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Cooking Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 9

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop the seasonal vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 10

    Sauté the Vegetables

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the vegetables and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Season with salt to taste.
