Method

Prepare the Coconut Rice

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine jasmine rice, coconut milk, water, and salt. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is cooked. Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.

Fluff the rice with a fork and set aside.

Make the Tuna Poke

Step 1

Dice the sashimi grade ahi tuna into bite-sized cubes.

In a bowl, combine the diced tuna, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions. Toss to coat.

Prepare the Papaya Slaw

In a bowl, mix shredded papaya, shredded carrot, lime juice, and cilantro. Toss well to combine.

Fry the Wontons

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.

Fry the wonton wrappers until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Make the Carrot Miso Dressing

In a blender, combine miso paste, diced carrot, rice vinegar, water, and sesame seeds. Blend until smooth.

Assemble the Bowl

In a serving bowl, layer coconut rice, tuna poke, papaya slaw, crispy wontons, and drizzle with carrot miso dressing.

Drizzle chili crisp over the top and add sliced avocado, if desired.
