Chicken and Coating

Chili Sauce

Method

Prepare Cucumber Salad

  1. 1

    Make the Cucumber Salad

In a bowl, mix the sliced cucumbers, rice vinegar, sugar, salt, and sesame oil. Toss to combine and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.

Prepare Chicken

  1. 2

    Prepare the Chicken Coating

In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Gradually add cold water, stirring until the batter is smooth.

  2. 3

    Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Dip each chicken strip into the batter and carefully place in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Make Chili Sauce

  1. 4

    Prepare the Chili Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together chili paste, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and lime juice until well combined.

Serve

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, arrange the fried chicken strips, drizzle with chili sauce, and serve with the cucumber salad on the side.
