Method

Preparation of Base

1

Prepare Cucumber

Slice the cucumber into 1/4 inch thick rounds to create a sturdy base for the canapé.

2

Spread Cream Cheese

Spread a thin layer of cream cheese over each cucumber slice to act as a binder for the toppings.

3

Prepare Crackers

Alternatively, you can use whole grain crackers as the base instead of cucumber rounds. Spread cream cheese on each cracker.

Tuna Mixture Preparation

4

Drain Tuna

Open the canned tuna and drain excess water. Flake the tuna with a fork in a mixing bowl.

5

Mix Ingredients

Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the flaked tuna. Mix until well combined.

Assembly

6

Top the Base

Scoop a generous amount of the tuna mixture onto each cucumber slice or cracker. Make sure to cover the cream cheese layer completely.

7

Garnish

Halve the cherry tomatoes and place one half on top of each canapé. Add an olive on the side for extra garnish.
